Associate Scientist Position at the Cognitive
Science Programme, Temasek Laboratories (NUS)
Applications
are invited for the position of Associate Scientist with the Cognitive
Science Programme at Temasek Laboratories,
National University of Singapore. The appointment is for a project
involving designing and building a commonsense knowledge and reasoning
software system.
Qualification and Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Excellent experience and skills in software programming and system administration
- Innovative, resourceful, self motivated, willing to learn and a team player
- Familiar in Unix/Linux and Windows OS platform preferred
- Experience in several programming languages including Java, C++, Lisp and Prolog will be advantageous
- Academic experience in Knowledge Representation and Reasoning will be advantageous
- Working experience in Knowledge Engineering using different methods will be advantageous
Job Scope
- Design and build commonsense knowledge and reasoning software system
- Implement and test various methods for commonsense knowledge and reasoning
- Encode commonsense knowledge into knowledge base
- Write technical documentation and academic findings
- Deliver a prototype for commonsense knowledge and reasoning system
Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
