The position is as follows:

Institution: Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR

Position: Senior Research Engineer/Research Engineer

Job Description: You will be involved in the development and implementation of neural signal processing system (including both algorithms and interface) and participate in experiments and field trials together with neuroscientists. Your main responsibility is to implement advanced brain-machine interface algorithms into a real-time system. You will work with a team in collecting, analyzing, and archiving experiment data.

Skills: C/C++/C# with project experience in using these languages

Research Position in Bayesian Perceptual Tracking and Reasoning

Fully funded Research Associate position at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore

A fully funded research associate position is available for candidates with a keen interest in the broad areas of system identification, and in particular, statistical signal processing, information fusion and Bayesian methods. Suitable candidates would potentially hold a Ph.D degree in engineering or applied math, and are expected to have a strong mathematical background, respective skills, and a passion to conduct a cutting edge research. This research is planned for 3‐years and would be carried out under the guidance of Prof. Avishy Carmi in the school of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, NTU. PREMIA Best Student Paper Awards 2011

The Pattern Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association (PREMIA), which is an affiliated member of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), is giving out the Best Student Paper Awards for papers published in 2011. There are two categories of prizes:

Gold Prizes, each with cash prize of S$1000.00, and
Silver Prizes, each with cash prize of S$500.00.
