The School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University is offering a full-time research position in the area of Image Processing and Computer Vision. The project will begin in May-June 2007 and is expected to last for 12 months. 

The focus of the project is on image processing and computer vision for robotic navigation.  The work will involve studying various algorithms to estimate the coarse geometric properties of a scene from single or stereo images. The study will include image segmentation, feature extraction, and geometric labeling based on training.

Applicants with the following skills are encouraged to apply:

·         A degree (or a pending degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines.

·         Knowledge and interests in image processing and computer vision

·         Good communication skills

·         Experiences in C, C++, MATLAB or other programming languages
