A research associate/postdoctoral position is available at the School of EEE, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The research area is in camera network based surveillance for homeland security applications.
The possible research work will involve developing a prototype system for human or vehicle or vessel monitoring and behavior analysis, surrveilance video archive search and retrieval. We are looking for candidates who have either submitted PhD thesis or have obtained PhD recently in the related research area. Candidates with good publication track record, such as in top CV conferences and top journals, will be considered favorably. Experience in application of machine learning, kernel methods and graphical models to computer vision are particularly interested. Salary is around SGD3200 - SGD4000 (1USD~=1.63SGD) per month, 12 months per year, depending on experience and qualification. The expected contract period is 2 years but subject to renewal based on performance after the first year.
