Six Graduate students from NUS and NTU received conference grant awards from PREMIA to attend the 18th International Conference on Pattern Recognition in Hong Kong, 20-24 August 2006, and to present their papers at the conference.

Each student received a grant of S$500 and a certificate in recognition of the achievement as a graduate student by successfully conducting research and presenting the research as an accepted paper at the IAPR ICPR2006, and thereby contributing to the Pattern Recognition research community internationally as well as in Singapore.
