PREMIA, the Pattern
Recognition and Machine Intelligence Association in Singapore, affiliated to
the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) is pleased to
offer up to four grants of S$500 each to assist student members of PREMIA to
attend The 19th International Conference on Pattern Recognition (ICPR2009)
which will be held 8-11 December 2008 in Tampa, Florida, USA.
To qualify for this
grant the student must:
(1) be a full-time
student at a tertiary education establishment in Singapore,
(2) be an author of
one or more accepted papers at ICPR2008
(3) personally attend
and present their paper(s) at ICPR2008, and
(4) be a member of
PREMIA (or become a member if not one already)
If there are more
than four applicants the PREMIA Board will select the successful recipients
based on the reviewer's comments and quality of the accepted paper(s).
The grant will be
presented to the students at the ICPR2008 conference.

8 August 2008 with the information requested below.
The names of the
successful students will be announced on Wednesday 27 August 2008.
